The Florida Power Club is a social group for anyone who has retired or works for Florida Power and its successors (Progress Energy, Duke Energy). We hold monthly events where members and friends can socialize and be entertained. We usually get group rates for events and the club partially subsidizes the costs for members - attending just one event can recoup your membership fee!
We now have a Paypal option to pay your annual dues of $36. The link is below in the dues section. Note: This button is only for dues, special buttons for events will be added after an event is announced.

Club Annual Meeting

The Florida Power Club Annual Membership Meeting & Member Renewal event will be held on Saturday, February 29thth from 1:00-pm -4:00 pm at the Hilton St. Petersburg Carillon Park New and renewing members enjoy FREE appetizers and beverages during the renewal event and then all members are welcome to stay for the Annual membership meeting where the Officers and Board Members will be voted in for 2020. The parking at this location is complimentary.
Beach Bash

The summer time fun BEACH BASH is an event that allows us to get together , bring the whole family and enjoy all of the amenities of the Tradewinds resort. Not to mention the beautiful St Pete beach. Come enjoy great food and use of the facilities all day long. We will have access bracelets for all to enjoy the giant slide to enjoy This resort says it best when they say “Just Let Go”. Bring the family and come celebrate the end of school and the beginning of summer break on beautiful St. Pete Beach.
Scalloping Event

Venue: Plantation Dive Shop at Plantation Golf Resort & Spa, Crystal River
If you like the idea of egg hunts or diving for sunken treasure, you will love scalloping. With just a mask, snorkel and fins you, too, can jump in and experience the adventure of diving for scallops. You will float along the surface quietly, patiently, over a sand bar in the Gulf of Mexico, off Florida’s beautiful Nature Coast, and take in the wonderful world of various fishes, plants and coral. Then suddenly you will see one. A scallop! Take a deep breath, dive down and grab it before someone else does! Then bring your catch back, clean it and have the resorts chef prepare your catch for dinner! ALL ages can participate.

175 foot, 500 passenger high speed luxury catamaran has a galley with a variety of food, a full bar, (which opens at 7 am I might add), 12 large flat screen televisions, luxurious indoor seating & optional outdoor seating 60 feet up on the 3rd deck, which is great for catching some sunshine and dolphin watching. We will be leaving Ft. Myers at 8:30 for a four hour cruise to Key West. Some may choose to spend the afternoon only and return the same day. Others can pre-book their return for Sunday or Monday and make a weekend of it. Must be specified in advance.
Florida Power Club Christmas Party
Date: Saturday, December 2, 2023
Venue: Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront 333 1st Street South
It’s that time of year again to get ready for the Holiday Party to be held on December 2nd. The event has been moved to downtown St. Pete this year. We have reserved a block of rooms at The Hilton you plan on staying overnight. You will need to book your room by November 9th, to get the discounted rate. The cost for this event is $25.00, checks can be sent interoffice, or mailed to me directly (see details on the flyer). You can also pay via PayPal. Payments for your club dues for 2024 for the low cost of $36.00 are also being accepted. I am looking forward to seeing you all there.
Attention Members:
As a special request, we are asking current members to seek out new members. The more members we have the more events we can do. If just each one of us had one additional co-worker sign up for the Club, it would be very beneficial to all members.
Please note that 2023 Florida Power Club dues will be $36.00 per year.

TICKET POLICY
A club member may purchase one ticket for him/herself, one guest and tickets for the member's dependent children under the age of 18, or two non-dependent children under the age of 18, at club member's price. In the event the member cannot attend due to work or illness, the spouse may attend without the member. If the requests for tickets received during the first two weeks are more than we have available, it is our policy to hold a lottery of the ticket requests received during the first two weeks.
